Reflecting on this article, I’m questioning how useful the terms “left” and “right” are.

They lack crucial nuance, and so have lost their usefulness in 1) our conversations and, 2) our analysis/understanding of voting demographics.

In other words, they have become (too) broad, generic and divisive.
